Think about this past school year, or all the time you have spent in Secondary so far. Consider the following areas:

  • Friends
  • Work We Have done
  • Moments of Glory
  • Trips and Activities

What sorts of things come to mind?

You will be working on one of the topics above to create a short digital scrapbook. You must be paired up for the activity and each pair must pair again with another. Both pairs will work together on the same scrapbook, but on different pages on two different computers.
There is no limit to how many pages you can make, but time is limited.

We will be using Mixbook to create digital scrapbooks.

Take a look at some of the examples from this past school year.

First you will need an account. If you are under 13 you will use one of the school accounts made instead.

Once you have your account you and you partner must create the scrapbook and share it with the other pair in your group of 4.

Invite your partners to collaborate on the scrapbook with you.
It may take a few moments to load up.

Once your scrapbook has loaded you will be asked to choose a theme. If you are unhappy with your choice you can always change the theme later on.

Choose the text layouts you want to use and the theme pages.

Choose your theme backgrounds and any stickers you wish to use.

You will need to search out photographs and upload them to your scrapbook.

There are many places in which you can find photos of your year group.
You may even find yourselves in the header on the school website.

When you have found the pictures you want to use, either save them by right clicking or take a screen shot on the computer. The next step is to upload them to the application.

Click on Add Photos.

You can select more than one at a time by using the Shift Key.

When the pictures are finished uploading you will be notified and given the chance to upload more.

Drag your photos to the scrapbook page you want to put it on.

You can edit the photo by using the resize tool or the additional tools at the bottom of the page. and resi

The option to add text, undo and redo can be found in the top right hand corner.

You can view your pages at the bottom of the screen, add blank pages, duplicate pages, remove them and determine what your front cover will look like.

Click on the bottom right corner of you book to turn the pages.

Once you publish your book you will be given an embedding code with which to add your book to your year blog.
copy and past this code into an email and send it to your year head and ICT teacher
